Sometimes Brody pushes her face into the space of pants betwixt the knees from that other side there and snerks at me through them.

    Pant-snorting jerk.

I have 3 of those (and one of them is the cat)! It’s like they know you can’t escape those pleading eyes and MUST give them lovin’ 🙂

I had a cat that did that, then one day I heard a noise coming from the bathroom, it was the cat going pee in the toilet! I knowit’s hard to believe, but TRUE!

Same things happen here! But just one of my four likes to join me. As for shutting the door – the dog knows how to open it!

I have one that does that too, but to make matters worst…he tries to lay across your lap when you are sitting down!

Lmao, Braxton, my late Cocker Spaniel used to try to drink your pee… while you we’re peeing. I had to ban him from the bathroom. Lady, my Corfu, sits beside the toilet while you poop. When you get up she looks in, then at you with a look like that’s gross. I always remind her that she poops outside and doesn’t woo. Now that’s gross.

We have a Jack-Chi-Terrier who insist potty time is a great time for us to play fetch. If you don’t, she will continue bringing toys until you do. Or she curls up in the “nest” your pants make and falls asleep IMMEDIATELY, then gives stink-eye when you wake her.

I usually have two (large) dogs and a cat in there with me. If I dare to shut the door, my German Shepherd gnaws on the doorknob until I get up and open it. Then all three come in and look at me reproachfully.

Haha, that’s what happens to my mom. She has a GSD and Beagle at her house. When she goes to the bathroom, Caesar, the German Shepard opens the door with his mouth and both dogs go in and watch her.

Oh, yeah. Leaning right up against my leg for petting when I can’t get away. Luther Dog has a captive petter and he knows it.

My cat is the same. Pointless trying to lock the door as he scratches and howls. Even if I try to sneak out when he is fast asleep he hears me. If I watch him doing his business he gives me an offended look as if to say ‘do you mind?’

I live in an old house (1800’s) with some sticky doors, the bathroom inside my bedroom being one of them. I push the door to, but often one of my Mama-loving Cavaliers will work the door open and peer around it. Usually, when I say “I’ll be right out”, s/he will back out. But occasionally, one will just have to come in for a chin scratch and some reassurance that I love them.

Our dogs and cats do the same thing, especially the little Yorkie (Cricket). If you close the door, he sits outside and huffs, puffs, and snorts under the bottom of the door till you let him in. No use fighting it. 🙂

Haven’t peed alone since the latest Woofie came to live with us! He doesn’t automatically follow me but if he decides I’m taking too long he will come to investigate and sit on my feet until I’m done. He allows me to run the bath unsupervised. He doesn’t consider it safe for me to bathe alone though. He has very specific standards regarding the ‘acceptable’ amount of Bubble Bath. He will use his Paws and nose to remove what he considers to be excessive. His redeeming feature on this is that he will not tolerate any interruptions to Bath Time. Any knocks on the door or attempts to open it are given short shrift!
Different story entirely when it’s his turn!

I have a shih-tzu that thinks we are playing a constant game of hide and go seek. I learned that heaven forbid the door be latched shut he will try to shove it open, full body. Since I dislike hurt dogs and hefty vet bills the door is left ajar, and the game continues in our house!

You have nothing else to do there except Pet the Puppy!! At least that is what my guy thinks. You are sitting down and your hands are free to pet.

Our dog not only follows me to use the toilet. He lays in the bathroom while I shower. He’s there as my spotter- just in case I fall in or slip on a wet floor

My greyhound did that too. And insisted on being petted by putting his head under your hand. One time he tried to do that and accidentally slipped his head into the leg of my panties. It would have been a pee your pants moment but….well you understand.

My Sheila has a water bowl in the bathroom in my bedroom. When ever I’m in there for ANYTHING, she come and drinks water until I stop or it starts to hurt her stomach. Of course, THEN I have to eventually take her out and watch her, go to the bathroom. I’m not drinking anything.
