You must be related to my dobe…. I impaled my tongue with my teeth and had to pull it off them last time she head butted me. unfortunately it’s a fairly frequent event

They have such hard heads! I don’t think it matters the breed. My rescues are both rock heads!

My rescue Toby always put his hard head under my hand and made my hand fly up to my face, giving me a fat lips! Miss that boy!

This sounds like something my big lug would do. Doggie daycare days are the best days!

A friend’s sweet (huge) lab/shepherd mix was so excited to see me, he jumped up and chipped my tooth. He is 125 lbs and the most gentle mild-mannered loving dog I have ever known. It happens, and now we have goofy stories about them!

I had a friend’s dog jump up and hit my nose. I heard a crack, but was lucky that it wasn’t broken. Stuff happens.

I was home alone, with just the animals (all rescues!) for company on the day my dog knocked me unconscious accidentally. We were playing with one of her toys, when I reached down to pick the toy up. Gypsy ran over, and in her excitement shook her head while jumping around. It happened so fast that it took me quite some time to figure out what had happened. I saw black fur approaching my face, heard a loud crack as her rock-hard forehead slammed into my face and nose. And then darkness. I awoke laid out flat on the floor of our home, with Gypsy and the cats in a circle around me, all looking very very worried.

My wire haired terrier knocked me out when I was little. I was about 7 and I was playing with her and she smashed her rock hard head into my jaw. I remember waking up with my Grandmother standing over me.

Wow. Looks just like my Ringo and he has done the same thing….although I have not needed stitches yet! My glasses have needed several adjustments though. His energy is the very reason they need to go. They sure love their playdates, don’t they! I am sure he is sorry! Hope Mom is better soon 🙂
