I’ve had a few Rotties in my time and they’ve been some of the sweetest dogs. I had a half Chow/half Rottie that was 150 pounds of lapdog who lived to the ripe old age of seventeen.

I have had 3 rotties in my life. They are the Cadillac of dogs…so sweet, protective, sensitive and honest. I live in Texas and would love him but too far away..good luck

my sister had a full blooded pit bull that thought she was a lap dog. if you raised your voice, she would start shaking, and hide in a corner. even my husband (then boyfriend) was amazed at how gentle she was. she came up to him and started licking him right away. “vicious” dogs are only vicious because they have vicious owners. it is all how you raise them. rottie’s and pit bulls get such a bum rap. even human children who are treated with meanness and abuse, end up being abusive themselves.

Chill out, Jere. This post was written by a rescue organization/ volunteer. People who rescue dogs usually don’t care if a dog is purebred. In fact, they oppose breeding andtend to advocate for mixed breeds. Before you go online to criticize people who work hard and devote time, energy, and money to saving animals who are at risk for euthanization, maybe you should think about what contributions you make. Be honest. Your pettiness is a giveaway.
