Exactly! I have had three dogs that needed to be crated when no one was home for their own safety.
There is nothing wrong with a crate.

Yep. My gsds need crated for the same reason. At least until they are two years old! She is adorable though and you can tell she’s sorry! 🙂

Maybe she’s teething? My GSD ate an entire coffee table cause of that! Try a frozen steak fry or two…the cold helps the pain, and frozen means she can chew it for a little while.

All right so she chewed the wall twice but who could resist that beautiful face with the big ears!!

Did I miss the part in the original post where this puppy’s owner asked to be told how to care for her own dog? Please don’t assume you know what’s happening in someone else’s home. I wish dogshaming would include a disclaimer telling commenters not to offer judgment and chastising unless the poster asks for advice.

My 10 month old gsd boy does the same thing to window sills! We had to crate him while we’re out for the safety of our house!

Crating is a good idea but IF the owner is at work for 8 hours or more (not unusual for this economic armageddon) that would be a loooooooooooooong time in a crate. I would enroll a good friend or a relative as a dog sitter 😉 Anyhow, AWESOME BAT EARS!!!

I’m with you Kel … so many people thinking they have the right to tell someone how to raise and train their puppy. If everyone did what some people suggest and crate their dog/s then we wouldn’t have dogshaming.com

Not even Lisa can resist her own cute looks, she’s playing and trying to get her own attention in the mirror. Change out your closet doors with non mirrored ones, see if she stops.

We still have bite and chew marks on one small wooden table that our precious mini-schnauzer made when she was a puppy. That was 17 yrs ago, she has been gone for way too many yrs but when I see that table I always smile and remember the good times. I think you’ll do the same, and OMG love the ears.

My Wolfgang, who has crossed the Rainbow Bridge, used to do the same. You know what, if I could have him back, even for a day, he could chew whatever he wanted. Who cares, its just stuff.

I freakin love those ears! She could probably be a stand-in for a satellite dish if you ever needed it. 🙂 Way way too cute!
