My grandparents used to have a GSP that would eat -anything- it could get its paws on. What beautiful dogs: you’re so lucky!

We had the same problem with one of our dogs. We eventually just went ahead and planted some mild banana peppers for him to eat all by himself. I haven’t had a garden in forever, but my current dogs steal produce from the grocery bags. Only produce, too.

Beautiful GSP! I much prefer this coloring to the all white ticking with barely any liver.

I had a hybrid wolf who liked to sneak over to the neighbor’s to stalk, kill and eat their cucumbers. One of the other wolves found a watermelon and brought it into the house to kill it.

My old dog used to eat my Jalapenos off the plant. She thought it was the funniest thing on Earth, we on the other hand called the vet to make sure she was fine doing it xD

My GSP’s love the garden too — they Steal tomatoes, strawberries, carrots, apples, oranges, and one even tried the lemons! I put a garden fence around the tomatoes and one finds a way in there anyway.

And, when I had a black lab years ago, I thought the bunnies or squirrels were eating my lettuce, radishes and green onions – only to see my lab with her head buried in the lettuce one day.

My Spanish rescue was taught by three Swedish dogs how to pick blueberries in the forest. I was amazed how quickly she got the hang of it, but was told later that wolves pick berries too, as part of their natural diet. She loves lettuce, carrots and apples too 🙂

I had a GPS Della who I miss terribly and she used to eat the concord grapes off the vine.
