She’s certainly got the “Who, me? No.” look down pat.

Also, I love the fact that she has a sister named “Droopy”. I used to love the old Droopy Dog cartoons.

Bassets are very, very clever — and Mia sure doesn’t *look* ashamed.

My basset, Jakey, failed obedience school *three* times, but (without instruction or assistance) figured out how to push the coffee table from the living room into the kitchen (next to the counter) with his *nose*, used it to climb onto the kitchen counter and eat *everything* he could get his paws on.

His other special talent is opening zippers, including the teeny-tiny ones on the insides of purses. As far as he’s concerned, Chapstick is a snack food 🙂

I’m sorry. I don’t buy it for a moment. I need to see the complete evidence. We have two bassetts and they are complete angels. Our other dog…well, that’s a different story.

Our basset Fred is the same way. He is famous for stealing things out of the car. Love a basset.

Love that she is rolling her eyes at you. She’s just having fun – no crime in that!

Funny how we came home to find a mess on the floor left by one of our bassets just before seeing this post. Must be brothers….

Those eyes are the most innocent, loving, sweet and adorable. There is no shame in those heart grabber eyes.

Bassets are the best — and rescue bassets are especially awesome!! I got my Jakey from the Ontario Basset Rescue (that I now volunteer for too!!) over four years ago and he too was recently featured on dogshaming:
