LOL! You know what’s funny? I have a dog named Loki and he chases deer too!! I guess we asked for it considering our dogs are named after the Norse God of Mischief!

My Weim Basia (previously shamed) actually caught a deer by the tail and dragged it out of the woods backwards. True story.

My Basset would do the same if given the chance, only I don’t think I could keep up with her if she got into a full run!

I chased my Chihuahua across 4 lanes of traffic when she rushed past me at the door. She thought she was a big dog and gonna eat the pit across the street. She made it to the sidewalk and freaked out because a GUY was walking towards her. A guy. Not the 65+ lb pit …. a 15-20 yr old guy. THEN, she decided to run back home… with me in tow after just chasing her across that very street. I do not know how she cheated death for so long!

Weimaraners. They’re all like that. When their nose is switched on, their ears are switched off. AND THEIR BRAINS TOO.

My dog does the same when she’s going after the possum on the fence. Completely deaf and, on one notable occasion, oblivious to the fact she’d just broken her toe!

Attn Rlafler – sorry to bother you but how did you find out your pup had broken her toe? My girl has been limping for almost 2 mos and we have gone to our vet and a canine therapist but still no answer. Going back to our vet next week. Any info you can offer would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have to agree with madisonpage. Loki’s expression says to me….”yeah? And I’ll do it again, too, so get your running shoes ready!”.

My baby, 50lb Levi, ignores deer when we come across them on our walks. Won’t even look at them! But wants to chase cats, even tho he has a sister cat that ignores him at home, lol! He is such a loveable sissy!

What kind of a dog is Pepper? I am fostering one that looks just like him right now.

We think Pepper is a catahoula/ Australian cattle mix. Just another beautiful rescue in our book!
