What a cool dog! He must of been so excited to see the shark! Just like my aussie.. He is big and bad and all barky at stuff then he gets scared when he has to cross the room sometimes to get his stuffed toy. Its like another 3 in away sometimes and he won’t go any forward….

sometimes I think he sees my Cody’s ghost.. that was his other mama. She passed in 2011.. So I say that he must be seeing Big Cody’s ghost 🙂

Buddy has about the best life any adopted dog could have and it sounds like he appreciates being a part of your family. Thank you.

WOW. And I thought our 75 lb mutt’s fight with a 2 1/2 foot snake last week was bad. So glad he’s ok!

Buddy is such a handsome boy – this is something that my Yellow Lab, Maggie Mae would do! She tries to protect me from things on the TV – it is really hard to watch anything with animals – especially if they are barking, meowing or making any animal noise – she charges the TV and barks at them. Our furbabies are something else! Glad that Buddy is okay and not shark bait!

That would have scared me! I’m so glad your fur-baby is OK, and kudos to you for adopting!! I hope the shark repeated his motto “Dogs are friends. Not food” (Finding Nemo reference…. yes, I’m just a big kid who loves Nemo!) and dogs!

that’s as bad as my lab swimming in a lake at the golf course with a gator swimming towards him…thank goodness he didn’t see it, and he only goes for a “dip” in the water, so he’s in and out

My Maggie, the three-legged English Setter (now deceased) would have done EXACTLY the same thing! She chased bears, coyotes, deer (until a buck turned on her and stomped the ground – then she ran like hell!), snakes, mice (and ate her way up the vinyl siding on the house to get at one), and anything else that stood in her way! Sometimes blind assertiveness (read:stupidity) is effective because no-one in the animal kingdom will mess with crazy! Glad you are all okay.

haha I just read all these comments they made me laugh so hard! Yes Buddy is quite a handsome boy 🙂 and he does have a great golden retriever life. Since this happened we have bought him a harness for lifting him out of the water since he can’t seem to stay out of it…
