Chocolate doesn’t bother me as much as xylitol. Sugar-free gum is more deadly than chocolate. However, I keep my dog away from both.

I’ve been through that….my old dog used to get into chocolate all the time! My vet put it into perspective, a pound or so of milk chocolate for a 60-70 pound dog is not great, but, better than a smaller dog eating several pieces. Bubba survived for many more years getting into trouble 🙂

every dog owner should know the hydrogen peroxide trick for making their dog vomit up things like chocolate, or in the case of my little guy a magic eraser.

Max’s mom here! Max is fine (after puking several more times through the night) and naughty as ever! Shame on us for leaving the chocolate out – we’re thankful he’s ok and able to enjoy Christmas!

As Max’s adoptive aunt (his mom’s best friend), I can attest to his naughty ways. But he’s the sweetest, cutest, most loving, excited, rambunctious, character-filled little guy. Merry Christmas Max (or Xam as he’s known to his closest friends).
