This is Alvin one of our foster Great Prys who came from the KY. He now lives in Hudson, MA and is being fostered through the National Great Pyrenees Rescue He is not getting the whole pooping on the snow thing. He loves to play in the snow and spends lots of time in it but comes running back in to go poop on my rug upstairs in my bedroom…bad Alvin, but he’s a great dog. He’s up for adoption through National Great Pry Rescue, but is still healing from a bad broken leg. So we will have him for a while.

My dog Scooter does this too…. He seems to forget what he is outside for.. then he gets too cold.. runs inside and poops… Alvin… you are a beautiful dog. Happy healing. 🙂

Dig him a nice play/poop area that is easy for him to get to, with a little trail, if necessary, from the house to the area. Then maybe even scoop up an old poop and put it there for him to catch onto it. My brother-in-law used to do this for their dog in Colorado and he did fine. Dog and brother-in-law!

Aw, I know that face! He lived with one of my neighbors for a little while. My pup still misses seeing him on daily walks. 🙁 I’d love to know when he finds his fur-ever home; I’d take him if I could. How did he break his leg??

My dogs won’t poop when the ground is mucky from rain; or when it’s raining. I keep a laser pointer in my garage for rainy days. I have them chase the dot for a couple minutes in the garage and BAM they’re outside pooping.
