“I jump out of the boat… even though I don’t know how to get back in. So I have to wear a life jacket. I’m not that ashamed, I think I look great!” Cooper dog – the 80 pound German Shepherd/Plott Hound mix – loves to swim and is a strong swimmer but unfortunately doesn’t understand how to use the doggy ramp to get back in the boat. He prefers to paddle around for awhile until he’s tired then climb onto his human friends for a lift back into the boat instead!

You can buy life jackets for dogs that will fit a little better, lol! Our dog used to jump in and swim to shore when he was tired of being in the boat.

I love the doggy life jackets. My dog feels safe and I don’t have to worry about him if he is in the water. Plus the handle is a wonderful thing. 🙂

You can buy a special life jacket for dogs — with a “handle” on top, to make getting the pup back into the boat easier.
