Adoptable Fridays – Fuzzbutt

“I cannot keep my eyes open all the way for pictures… and I am a stalker.”

This is our foster dog, Fuzzbutt, also known as “the Fuzz.” He is adoptable in San Angelo, TX via Sadie’s Rescue. He is currently not on their website as it might not have been updated yet. He is on their facebook page. He is about two years old and very calm and sweet. He comes when called, is housebroken and knows sit. He walks on a leash like an angel (although sometimes he walks too close and almost trips me!). He deserves a permanent home!

Adoptable Fridays – Fletcher

Hi, I’m Fletcher! I’m a 2 yr. old American Staffordshire Terrier being fostered through Wagging Dog Rescue in Carlsbad, CA. I love people and can probably live with a well matched doggie companion, but cats are not my thing. I’m currently in boarding and my rescue pals are searching for either a Foster or Forever Home to make my holiday dreams come true. I have great manners, eye catching looks and a sweet personality. Got room for a knockout like me in your life?

Adoptable Fridays – Trixie

This is Trixie and she is being fostered through Beagle Rescue Education and Welfare (BREW) in Woodbridge, VA.

She is approximately four or five years old and is friendly and polite with everyone she meets – adult or child, canine or feline – although she can be very vocal when she can’t go meet another dog nose-to-nose. Trixie has proven herself to be crate-trained, and she will now readily go upstairs and get in her crate when asked. She also takes periodic naps in the crate of her own accord. Here is her profile.

Adoptable Fridays – Wesley

I’m Wesley I am being fostered through the Austin Humane Society, in Austin, TX. They call me a goofy lovebug because I’m super affectionate and a lot of fun! Watch my video to see how nicely I play with others. I graduated from obedience school at the top of my class, learning lots of commands like “Sit,”Stay,” and “Down” and am eager to learn more. Hey, did I mention I’m housetrained? What more could you ask for in a great dog? I’m visiting at a volunteer’s house right now, but meeting me at the shelter is so easy! Here is my profile. Can’t wait to meet you!

Adoptable Fridays – Lionel

Hi there! I am Lionel, a handsome young Golden Lab mix with a curly tail that never stops wagging! I am being fostered through the Austin Humane Society in Austin, TX. I always have an adorable smile on my face and can’t wait to give everyone I meet love and kisses! I am ready to become a member of a wonderful family and I’m very eager to learn new tricks. I hope you have room for me — I am a pretty big boy, I’d be a great activity partner, too. Come by and meet me, I promise to put a smile on your face!

What could be better than a sweet, silly boy with a curly tail and a “Keep Austin Weird” personality? If that is a hard question to answer, then keep reading! “Lionel is such a lover-man!” He’s got a sweet soul, and he really knows how to put on the charm. Lionel is great at melting into someone’s arms or against the door to his kennel for some affection. It’s hard not to be taken away by him! “The name ‘Lionel’ just fits him because he is so crazy and fun!” He knows how to have a good time! He’s so goofy, and he knows lots of tricks; he can shake and almost roll over! Oh! And it’s impossible to forget how he is really playful and so fun –loving; he’s got great energy! “I love Lionel ‘cause he’s always got a smile on his face!” His coloring is so unique and handsome; he’s somewhere between an ivory and yellow lab coloring. He’s a great package of fun to be with and look at – especially with his forehead that’s a cute amount of wrinkly! Everyone loves his tail! “I’m so glad Lionel is staff pick!” Lionel needs the right active and patient home, so if you are ready for a dog that’s a perfect combination of fun, big, silly, loveable and charming, then Lionel is your guy!

Adoptable Fridays – Mercedes

Mercedes is a 5 year old terrier/whippet mix at the Woodford Humane Society in Versailles, KY. She has to be the most patient dog we have ever had, because get this: Mercedes has been waiting for a home since January 21, 2009. Not a typo; her 4 year anniversary with us is coming up in January. We think part of the reason Mercedes gets overlooked is that she is a very athletic (and bouncy) dog, and when new people come into the kennel, her first reaction is often to show off how high she can jump. She’s not crazy, we swear! Once she’s out of the kennel, she’s more interested in belly rubs than anything else.

Mercedes has already spent 3 holiday seasons at our adoption center, and the best gift EVER, for her and for us, would be for her to finally be in her forever home by Christmas. She’s looking for a single-pet, indoor home and would make a great running partner or agility dog. Her petfinder profile is here and her adoption fee has been sponsored!
