Oatmeal? What do you mean? Clearly I wasn’t involved in making this mess!
We came home to find strawberry instant oatmeal spread all over Oliver, the dog bed, and the floor. He has no shame and tried to pretend he didn’t know anything about where the mess came from. It must have been the Oatmeal Fairy!
Cookie was running around the table and slid into the wall, then started eating the drywall after she had saw what she did. Her Sign reads “My name is Cookie: I broke the wall and ate some!” You can see the hole behind her.
Rosalee is one and a half year old Great Dane, who was surrendered to a shelter by her owners because they were moving. She’s with Harlequin Haven Great Dane Rescue in Bethel, Ohio. She has a congenital condition often seen in blue eyed Danes where her third eyelid covers part of her eye, and the veterinary ophthalmologist says that this cannot be fixed. She is not completely blind, but she is vision impaired. She can still lead a normal, happy life, and she loves to play. She needs a home who understands what is involved in the care of a large-breed dog so she is never homeless again.
Elizabeth Ellis, over at @LizzerTweets is an artist who is trying to promote awareness for rescues. She is currently working on a project where every week, for the entire year of 2015 she will be painting an adoptable animal currently in a shelter. She posts the painting, making a video about it on youtube, tweeting, etc every week. At the beginning of 2016, there will be an exhibition of all 52 paintings at an Ohio art gallery, after which the paintings will be mailed to either the shelter who still has the animal, or hopefully, the family who has adopted the animal. She’s calling it the year of 52 rescues. Go take a look at all the cool paintings she’s done so far! You can also find more artwork over at her blog!
Our Great Dane Eli has issues with the Meter Man because he comes so close to the house. He jumped up on the window and broke it! His sign says, “I think the Meter Man is SHIFTY! so I broke the window to let him know! I am no longer allowed in this room unsupervised…”
Luckily Eli was not hurt bet he scared the crap out of the Meter Man!
