Adoptable Fridays – Midge ADOPTED!!

Weighing in at just under 7 pounds, Midge is a miniature dachshund with a maximum personality! She is being fostered by Bald is Beautiful  Dog Rescue in Greenville, SC. Midge is young (under two), and a great little dog. She’s sweet, sassy, smart, spunky, snuggly…. and those are just the S’s! Sometimes she tries to boss around her foster brothers, who are twice her size, and even the cats, also bigger than her! She has no follow-through, though, and they find her very easy to put in her place. Which most often ends up being in a soft dog bed or a warm lap, under a blanket and in the dark. We would like to see Midge adopted into a home with another dog for companionship, or where people are home most of the time.

For more info, check out Midge’s profile here.

Adoptable Fridays – Bea

My name is Bea. I live in Albuquerque, NM and my Albuquerque Animal Welfare number is A1060750. If you are in Albuquerque, call 311; if you are outside of the city, call (505) 768-1975. I am sweet, full of energy, and I love to run around like a puppy even though I am seven.

I like to sleep in the bed with my people, I love car rides and biscuits> I like other dogs, and some cats. Kids are great but I’m probably not great around babies. I’d love a family with a big yard and lots of love. I am housetrained and I know basic commands.

Adoptable Fridays – Lola

It’s not her fault she gets carsick, and she’s very sorry! Lola is a playful 5-month-old German Shepherd mix puppy available for adoption through Street Dog Rescue, in Houston, TX. She is house trained and has never met a person or dog she didn’t like. She loves to wrestle and run with her foster brother and sister dogs and then roll over for belly rubs! Lola would be a great addition to any family. Can you give this sweet girl a home?

Lola’s Petfinder profile is here.

Adoptable Fridays – Gabby ADOPTED!!

We’ve been fostering her for a week and she is a sweet dog who loves everyone, even cats! She has a beautiful thick coat and a few weeks of obedience training under her belt. She would love to be with her forever family instead of her foster family.

Adoptable Fridays – Happy

Hi! My name is Happy and I was named for my personality. I am an approximately 3 year old male liver and white pointer and I was dropped off at a shelter in North Carolina where Pointer Rescue Org found me. I am neutered, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative. My foster mom thinks that I was an outdoor dog in my former life. I’ve only been living inside a house for a few months but I am learning how to be a house dog very quickly. I still love to be outside and enjoy running around my fenced-in backyard. I’m housebroken and crate trained, although it still takes some coaxing with a treat or a toy to get me to go to my crate when asked. Once I’m inside the crate I quiet down quickly. I’m full of energy and like to run, jump, and play with toys or other dogs. I will definitely need to live in a home that has a fenced in back yard or have owners who like to take long walks, run, bike or hike as I need to expel my pointer energy a lot! I haven’t shown any hint of aggression, even when my older pointer foster brother gets cross with me because I’m too Happy. Due to my prey drive I probably would not be a good friend for a cat. If you would like to learn more about me or adopt me, please contact Pointer Rescue organization or go to pointerrescue.org to fill out an adoption application!
Happy is located in New York, but as a national group we can arrange transport to approved adopters across the US (and parts of Canada).

Adoptable Fridays – Arnold

Arnold REALLY likes towels and blankets! He’s from Detroit, MI and he’s available from Home Fur-Ever. Arnold loves the other dogs at his foster home. He spends most of his time with his foster brother Wilson, both playing with him and just following him around the house. He loves his dachshund foster siblings, too, and can often be found cuddled up in bed with them. He also likes to be with people and is perfectly happy to cuddle up in your lap or stretch out in bed with you. Here is his profile.

Meet Bev, a gentle dachshund mix with a lot of snuggles to share. She is available for adoption over at Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas along with lots of her dachshund friends! Bev is a shy softy from head to toe—with the softest, silkiest fur, warm eyes and a burning desire for a family to love and care for her. Bev loves to play with friendly, small dogs and as her foster people will tell you– she LOVES to cuddle in bed.

Adoptable Fridays – Zephyr

Zephyr, an adoptable senior from East Brunswick, NJ. He’s available through St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center. He has been known to “break wind” from time to time. But he has finally admitted to doing what I’ve suspected all along… Doing big, smelly farts so people leave the room and leave him alone! His farts will clear a room in seconds flat.
